DEMAND RESPONSE SCHEDULING AND DISPATCHING SYSTEM
The new software or internet based solution must perform the major tasks associated with the
scheduling and dispatching of demand response services. It should record comprehensive client
information including complete passenger service history, special service requirements, common
destinations, service cost, and primary billing sponsors. The system should include scheduling,
routing, and sequencing solutions for making efficient and productive service trips. Sequencing
consists of providing optimum service routes based on multipoint passenger pickups and dropoffs
known as ride sharing. Route optimization should use actual street maps and identify the
shortest distance for the overall route. The system should present multiple schedule options
using factors for efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
