DDG 1000 Low Voltage Power System
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to increase the ceiling on contract number N00024-09-C-4206 for the DDG-1000 Integrated Power System (IPS) Land Based Test Site (LBTS) hardware contract with DRS Systems, Inc., 5 Sylvan Way, Ste. 305, Parsippany, NJ 07054-3818, by adding a Provisioned Item Order contract line item with authority to procure provisioned items from the DDG 1000 Low Voltage Power System up to $10,000,000.00. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, within thirty days (30) after date of publication of this synopsis. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
