DATA NETWORKING AND COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

The Office is seeking to establish purchasing agreements with one or more companies that can provide Data Networking and Communication Products, pre-sales support, installation services and post-sales on-site support in addition to support services that are otherwise provided by manufacturers through their manufacturer / support programs. Vendors must be willing to provide a quote for any hardware purchase and include in that proposal a cost for installation and post sale on-site support, however, the State reserves the right to make purchases with or without installation and post sales on-site support. Vendors must also provide a schedule of cost for on-site support. Pre-sales support is expected to be provided free of charges separate from the cost of the equipment that may be purchased. VENDORS MUST BE CERTIFIED PARTNERS OF THE MANUFACTURER THEY CHOOSE TO BID IN ORDER TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. All departments of the State of Vermont may use this statewide contract. The state intends to enter into contracts with more than one vendor that offers to sell suitable network equipment; this solicitation is NOT restricted to only those vendors that sell CISCO gear. Interoperability of proposed network equipment is an important factor that will be weighed when selecting the winning bids.
