Cultural Arts Plan Consultant
The City of Lees Summit is seeking a comprehensive effort to evaluate arts and culture in the community. The purpose of the Community Cultural Arts Plan is to complete a current inventory and develop a broad overview of the cultural assets within the Lees Summit community; to create an all-encompassing assessment of the communitys arts and cultural activities and institutions including nonprofit visual and performing arts, artists, arts audiences, arts education, public art, arts facilities, and systems of financial support; and to incorporate relative to planning efforts in tourism, urban design, downtown revitalization, and economic and community development. The Community Cultural Arts Plan will not only identify the community needs and desires, but will also define the role of the City in supporting arts and culture in meeting the Citys broader goals, integrating the arts into the Citys daily business.
