PIP-II CRYOGENIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

 TUNNEL DISTRIBUTION LINE

 1.0 Purpose:

 The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to perform market research to determine:

 

•§   Industrial Facilities, Capacities, and Capabilities

 

•§   Industrial Experience

 

•§   Subcontractor's Estimated Cost - Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)

 

•§   Subcontractor's Estimated Schedule

 

•§   Subcontractor's Risk Assessment[AD1]  (optional)

 2.0 Background:

 Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) is under contract by the Department of Energy to upgrade its existing accelerator complex, at Fermilab, Batavia Illinois.  The project called the Proton Improvement Plan-II (PIP-II) is an improvement program for a high-intensity proton facility with goal focused to achieve beam power in excess of 1 megawatt (MW) on target at the initiation of Long Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) operations. PIP-II requires equipment and facilities upgrades to achieve multi-MW proton beam capabilities at Fermilab.
