PROJECT INFORMATION: Crop Tree Release. Releasing crop trees with chainsaws. Some units have trees already identified and marked for release by the Forest Service and some units require the contractor to identify and release trees in accordance with the specifications in the contract.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Successful offeror shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to release estimated 1,942 marked crop trees in some units and identify, select and release crop trees according to contract specification on another 330 acres.
GOVERNMENT ESTIMATE: Less than $25,000
LOCATION: These project areas are located on the Eastern Divide Ranger District of the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests in Craig, Giles and Montgomery Counties of Virginia.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 120 days from effective date of Notice to Proceed
SITE VISIT INFORMATION: A pre-bid site visit IS NOT scheduled. See contact information in the RFQ document if you want to visit any of the units.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at the following website: www.sam.gov to be awarded a contract resulting from this solicitation. Registration is this system is free. Assistance is available to help contractors register in SAM. Contact the Contracting Officer for additional information.
SET-ASIDE: This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 115310 and the size standard is $7.0 million.
PAYMENT PROTECTION INFORMATION: No bonds required.
SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Request for Quotation Number AG-3395-S-14-0018 and all related documents are posted and available for downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Quotations must be submitted by July 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.
