NOTIFICATION OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION

PROJECT INFORMATION/LOCATION: Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies necessary to perform Crop Tree Release on the George Washington & Jefferson NFs, Lee and North River Ranger Districts, in Augusta and Frederick counties VA and Hardy county in WV.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Successful offeror shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to identify and release crop trees utilizing chainsaws or other handheld tools.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 365 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (if all Line Items are awarded to a single contractor). If multiple awards are made, the length of contract time will be assigned for each individual Line Item area.
SITE VISIT INFORMATION: A pre-bid site visit IS NOT scheduled. Special arrangements may be made to provide access for inspection prior to the opening date by contacting Gerardo Paez at the North River Ranger District Office at 540/432-8231.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at the following website: www.sam.gov to be awarded a contract resulting from this solicitation. Registration is this system is free. Assistance is available to help contractors register in SAM. Contact the Contracting Officer for additional information.
SET-ASIDE: This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 115310 and the size standard is $7.5 million.
PAYMENT PROTECTION INFORMATION: No bonds required.
SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Request for Quotation Number 12339518Q0006 and all related documents are posted and available for downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Quotations must be submitted by March 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.

The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the solicitation's closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs incurred."
