Creo threaded Stabilizaton system and interbody spacer
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0075. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Globus Medical North America, Inc.; 2560 General Armistead Ave.; Audubon, PA, 19403-5214. The objective of this sole source award is to a Creo Threaded Stabilization System (Screws) and Caliber (Interbody Spacer).
The exact items needed for the surgery will be determined intraoperatively.
Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Product should have an extended screw head to minimize outer diameter, helping reduce disruption to soft tissue, and sleeve interference
2. The product should allow for screw manipulation and deformity correction by utilizing adapters attached to the extended screw head
3. The capturing, reducing, and locking of the rod should be done in one step
4. Screws should be available in stainless steel
5. The sales rep will need to be present during the procedure
Globus Medical North America, Inc is the manufacturer of the needed items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 06:00 AM Pacific Time on May 29, 2017 may be considered by the Government.
Responses shall be submitted to Renier Valdez at renier.s.valdez.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Intent to Award Sole Source to Globus Medical North America, Inc." A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
