Louisiana Economic Development (LED) is responsible for promoting Louisiana as a location for relocation or expansion of domestic and international manufacturing and business facilities. The Communications Department oversees and manages all facets of the LED brand, as well as the strategic development of advertising, public relations, special promotions, print, videos, web site, and other marketing tactics. LEDs specific purpose for engaging in these marketing activities is to generate inquiries from responsible sources and to create a favorable image of the state as a place in which to live, work, and do business.
1. Develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications program in support of LEDs mission and brand.
2. Produce or assist in the strategic creation and production of print, audiovisual, display, video, web-based and electronic marketing collateral that establish a consistent visual image of LED and effectively promote key messages to target audiences. Assist in development of and source identification of promotional items.
3. Assist in the logistics and coordination of special events.
4. Provide advice and counsel to LED on matters related to marketing and communications.
5. Coordinate and supervise agency-placed printing (not to exceed 20 percent of the contract total.)
