The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for crane assessment, maintenance, repair or replacement for various Dams located within the Lower Colorado Region, which includes Hoover, Davis, and Parker Dams. Each of the facilities are equipped with more than 30 fixed boom (jib) cranes, which range in capacity from 1 ton jib to 300-ton powerhouse cranes. The majority of the work consists of assessing the crane components during unload and loading operation; inspection, lubrication, adjustment or replacement of main load cables, brake pads and/or brake assemblies. It also includes maintenance, repair, and replacement of control systems, crane rails, wheels, trolleys, gearbox components and other miscellaneous crane components which may require repair or replacement.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 2005-89. However, Request for Proposal (RFP) 140R3018R0012 will be issued simultaneously with this announcement to facilitate receipt of proposals.

The proposed contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for a five-year performance period. Multiple contracts maybe awarded. Fixed-price task orders will be issued under the IDIQ contracts.

This requirement is set-aside for total small business. The North American Industry Classification
System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is: 811310, Commercial and industrial machinery and equipment (except automotive and electronic) repair and maintenance. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 811310 is $7.5M.
