The North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is responsible for conducting formal hearings related to administrative procedures. Although many of the contested cases are electronically recorded by OAH, the increased number of respondents and petitioners are requesting that hearings be recorded and transcribed by certified court reporters. As OAH does not have the internal capacity to accommodate these requests, OAH is soliciting proposals from offerors willing to provide "live" court reporters when a request is made by a party or parties to an OAH proceeding. Although the initial request for services will come from OAH, requests for transcripts and payment for all services rendered will be through direct contact between the party or parties involved and the Offeror.
