(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

(ii) The solicitation number for this effort is AG-6395-S-17-0146. This solicitation is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). SEE ATTACHED.

(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95, effective January 19, 2017.

(iv) This is solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The appropriate NAICS code is 311119 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.

(v) Contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure: See Pricing Schedule (attached).

(vi) Description of requirements: Supply of corn cob grounds (80 mesh and/or finer) and pelletized corn cob granules (commercially sold for horse bedding) to be used in support of the agency's Mexican Fruit Fly (MexFly) Rearing Facility. The corn cob is used as a filler for the fruit fly diet. Products must be free of contaminants, pesticides and chemical residues; and moisture not to exceed 10%. Contract period of performance includes a base year and four (4) option years.
