LS-DYNA is a general-purpose, flexible, finite element analysis software for multi-physics simulation.  LS-DYNA's features can be combined to model a wide range of physical events. LS-DYNA accurately predicts the stresses and deformations experienced by metal, and determine failures. LS-DYNA supports adaptive and will refine the mesh during the analysis, as necessary, to increase accuracy and save time. LS-DYNA is also capable of simulating projectile penetration, blast response, and explosives.  LS-DYNA's military applications include:  Penetration (projectile and armor), Explosives, Weapon design, underwater simulations (using USA coupling).  This software is compatible with NUWCDIVNPT equipment and contains unique features and optimizations for specific platforms.
