Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Repair and Maintenance
The 309th Component Maintenance Group intends to award a sole source procurement to Nikon Metrology, Inc. for maintenance, repair, and calibration of the Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Nikon Metrology, Inc. has met the government's requirement for repair of the CMMs due to the unique source code and highly specialized equipment and services.
Nikon Metrology, Inc. is the OEM of the CMMs and most repairs require access to the maintenance software, which is proprietary. The CMMs are computer numerically controlled precision equipment, which requires specialized training for repair and maintenance services. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency if deemed to have the technical capabilities required to fulfill this requirement. This is not a small-business set-aside as it is sole source to Nikon Metrology, Inc.
