Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the Tube-launched Optically tracked Wireless (TOW) Improved Target Acquisition Systems (ITAS)
This notice is a synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.101 for a proposed contract action to Contract W31P4Q-07-C-0088 published at least 15 days before the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations and a solicitation will not be issued for this requirement.
The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal intends to award a modification to the existing Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contract which will extend the contract period of performance through 31 March 2019. The extension will provide incidental material, maintenance, information management actions necessary to support the TOW ITAS unique assemblies/subassemblies, Field Service Representative (FSR) support and Logistics Support.
This fifteen (15) month extension of services is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This fifteen (15) month extension is intended to be awarded to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Company under FAR 6.302-1 an award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement.
This extension is necessary to allow for the sole source acquisition of the follow-on contract.
The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents related to this option to extend services.
