The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award of a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Beckman Coulter, Inc, 250 S. Kraemer Boulevard, Brea, CA, for continued maintenance on the following pieces of laboratory equipment in the Atlanta area: Biomek 300, S/N 9861200139; Gripper Tool biomek 3000; P200L Single-Tip tool Biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120013; P20 Single-Tip tool Biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120013; MP200 8-tip biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120013; Beckman Coulter Marketed Computer; Automatic Latch Controller, S/N 4000A62103; Wash Tool 8-Channel, biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120013; Biomek FX Dual & Span8, S/N 5011690; BFX 96-Channel Disp. Head, 200UL, S/N 1780; Beckman Coulter Marketed Computer; Bar Code Reader (Plates); Heating/Cooling ALP Single Position; Span 8 Wash ALP; Biomek 3000, S/N 9861200263; Gripper Tool Biomek 300; Biomek 3000, 96/384 HDR Tool, S/N XX-986120026; Beckman Coulter Marketed Computer, 96-Filtration System (Manual); MP20 8-Tip Tool Biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120026; MP200 8-Tip Tool Biomek 3000, S/N XX-986120026; Biomek 3000, S/N 9861200262; Gripper Tool Biomek 3000; and Beckman Coulter Marketed Computer. Agreement type on all equipment is Total 8x5. Period of performance shall be for no longer than one year. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
