The US Army Contracting Command-Redstone, (ACC-R), anticipates a sole source Firm Fixed Price type contract with King Aerospace, Inc. 4444 Westgrove Dr. Ste 250 Addison, TX 75001-5360 (Cage Code: 0UF62) for continued Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) Services for De Havilland Canada Dash 7 (DHC-7) Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL) EO-5 Aircraft. This effort will bridge the anticipated capabilities gap from the expiration (31 Dec 2014) of the current EO-5 contract (W58RGZ-05-C-0302) and the award of a new competitive contract.
Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), quote mark Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, quote mark this contract shall be awarded on an other than full and open competitive basis to King Aerospace, Inc. as the only source with the unique expertise, knowledge, facilities, parts inventory, and technical data required. Award to another source would not be viable because of the upfront capital investment required for facilities, ground support equipment, and an adequate inventory of aircraft parts and material.
All questions shall be directed to Yasmine Clanton, Contract Specialist at yasmine.clanton.civ@mail.mil or Hanford G. Jones, Contracting Officer at hanford.g.jones.civ@mail.mil. This notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a formal notice of solicitation.
