Consulting Services
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of consulting services for the comprehensive review, analysis, and revision of the County's Zoning, Subdivision, Stormwater, and Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinances. The selected consultant will be responsible for leading this process, while coordinating its work with Augusta County elected and appointed officials, citizens, and staff. The County anticipates and encourages proposals from planning and legal firms. In addition to ensuring that the County's land use and development related codes, ordinances, and policies are in line with the updated Comprehensive Plan, the Consultant will also be expected to ensure that the regulations are as simple and user friendly as possible. It will also be expected that the County's efforts to extensively involve its citizens in the planning process will be continued. Therefore, it is important that the Consultant allow sufficient opportunities for public comment on all proposed revisions.
