Consulting – Benefits Broker
The University is seeking a qualified Broker to market its voluntary employee benefits plans and to bring forth a highly competitive voluntary employee benefits program for University employees and retirees with a January 1, 2014 effective date. The Broker will provide strategic guidance in the area of voluntary benefits. The Broker will recommend a voluntary benefits platform that meets the needs and fills the gaps in insurance for the University System of Georgia employee population. The Broker will ensure the platform integrates and supports the University healthcare plan options and wellness initiatives. The Broker will market the programs, collect the bids, analyze the data and present the top 3-5 bidders for each category to the University Committee. In addition, the broker will provide benchmarking and support in the area of communications, legal and compliance issues, training and education of the programs, etc. Voluntary plans included are the following categories: dental, vision, life, AD&D, short and long term disability, flexible spending plans and health savings accounts.
