Consultant for Rural Services/AgrAbility Program Development Rural Services Workshop and Self-Paced On-Line Training

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to engage an independent consultant who will work with GII staff and a contractor to develop the content for one one-hour Rural Services PowerPoint presentation that can be converted into a self-paced online training module. In addition, the independent consultant will be a featured speaker at a two-day "Rural Services Initiative" workshop to be held in Roanoke VA on August 23 and 24. At the workshop, the consultant will present a four-hour training on August 23 about the specific needs of workforce development professionals working in rural communities, and will participate in the discussion the following day. August 24.
The audience for the on-line training module and the workshop will primarily be staff working at local Goodwills serving rural communities across the country. For both the Rural Services Initiative workshop and on-line training module, the independent consultant selected through this procurement will provide information and recommendations on overcoming the challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities associated with providing workforce development and other services for rural individuals and their families, especially farmers and ranchers with disabilities.
