Consultant/Coordinator for Upgrades to an Advanced Transportation Operating System
The Borough Transportation Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms/individuals with system integration experience to assist them with the analysis, specifications, procurement, upgrades and implementation of an Advanced Transportation Operating System for the boroughTransportation Department’s fixed route and paratransit service. This assistance will provide:
1) A review of existing operating system software and procedures;
2) Analysis of expanding existing technologies and implementing new technologies such as real-time traveler information (including kiosks and/or web-based information, interactive voice response, fare box monitoring and reporting, etc.) system for improved passenger support;
3) Development of technical specifications for an RFP;
4) Participation in the procurement evaluation of these items.
