Consultancy Services for the Rural Employment Study
In order to address the problem, the Government is pursuing initiatives particularly focusing on employment promotion. Based on PARPA II, MDGs, the Governments 5-year plan and other national development policies and strategies, the Ministry of Labor formulated the Employment and Vocational Training Strategies (EVTS), which was adopted by the Council of Ministers in March 2006. The main objective of the EVTS is to promote employment growth at short and medium terms so as to facilitate the growth and development of a pro-employment economy. As youth employment has been defined as an important challenge a special chapter was dedicated solely to youth employment.
