Construction Materials Testing Services
The City is currently accepting proposals for materials testing services for multiple construction projects throughout the City for the 2012 Construction season. Six (6) separate projects, as well as one general category for miscellaneous construction projects, are included in this RFP as described below. The City intends to hire a minimum of two separate consultants to perform work on these projects.
Firms may elect to submit a proposal that includes any or all of the projects described below:
1) Street Resurfacing Project (Program A)
2) Street Resurfacing Project (Program B)
3) Avenue Improvements Project
(includes concrete curb removal and replacement, and installation of water main and storm sewer, etc.)
4) Boulevard Improvement Project
(includes resurfacing, replacement of approximately 5,500 ft of water mains, removal and replacement of the street curb and gutter, storm sewer catch basins repair, and sidewalk corner ramps reconstruction)
5) Street Improvement Project
(includes constructing approximately 450 ft of new 12" water main, and many of the items listed in nos. 1-4 above)
6) Permeable Pavement Project
(includes complete reconstruction of the pavement section, installation of a permeable asphalt surface, and replacement of both curb & gutter.
