INVITATION TO BIDWATER SYSTEMIMPROVEMENT PROJECTAHSAKA WATER & SEWERDISTRICTSealed bids will be received by The Ahsahka Water & Sewer District in a sealed envelope clearly marked "WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT," until 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Clearwater Fish Hatchery located at 118 Hatchery Roe Drive, Ahsahka, Idaho 83520 for the following work:WATER SYSTEMIMPROVEMENT PROJECTA single bid is requested for all work.The project will consist of constructing approximately 3,800 L.F. of 6 and 8 water main along with fittings, valves, fire hydrants, service line connections and other appurtenances, one (1) new 100,000 gallon water storage reservoir, including excavation, grading, associated piping and fittings and fencing, construction of a water treatment building and installation of new membrane filtration treatment equipment and raw water pumps, including controls and all electrical wiring.All work must be completed within 180 calendar days of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day.Bids will be opened publicly at the Clearwater Fish Hatchery located at 118 Hatchery Roe Drive, Ahsahka, Idaho 83520 10:00 a.m. local time on June 26, 2009, and read aloud. Bidders and other interested parties are invited to be present at the bid opening.Bids received after the aforementioned time will not be considered.A current Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho is required to bid on this work. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the project bidding and contract requirements and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the base bid. Bid Bond shall be in the form of Cash, Cashiers Check, Certified Check or Bidders Bond executed by a qualified surety company, any of which shall be made payable to the Ahsahka Water & Sewer District.Bid Documents can be obtained by Prime Bidders for a $100.00 non-refundable fee per copy from Progressive Engineering Group, Inc., 1208 Idaho Street, Lewiston, Idaho 83501, (208) 746-5406. Box 37, Ahsahka, ID 83520 (Contact Tim Barnett @ (208) 476-5027)--Progressive Engineering Group, Inc., 1208 Idaho Street, Lewiston, Idaho Local Plan Review CentersPRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid Conference and Project walk-through of the project will be held at the the Ahsahka Water and Sewer District Office Trailer, (located as follows: turn left onto Hatchery Roe Dr. at the north end of the Ahsahka Bridge, then turn left into fenced area of substation), on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interested parties are advised to attend.This project is partially funded through grant assistance by an Idaho community Development Block Grant. Davis-Bacon wages will be required for this project.The Ahshaka Water & Sewer District may by resolution reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call. The District also reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids received.
