The Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Drum is conducting market research to determine the extent of sources capable of performing as a prime contractor under a single Firm Fixed Price contract for the construction of the Visitor Control Center at the LTG Paul L. Cerjan gate located at Fort Drum, NY. The Government will use responses from this sources sought synopsis to make an appropriate acquisition decision about soliciting this requirement. This is neither a solicitation announcement, nor a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation for Bids (IFB), and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are for planning purposes only.

The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $36.5M.


The scope of work under this acquisition will include, but not limited to the following: provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, appliances, and supervision necessary to perform all operations in connection with the construction of the new visitor center and includes an addition to the existing building 11008 in accordance with the specifications and drawings associated with the scope of work.


The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price contract to support Fort Drum, NY. The anticipated period of performance is a 365 calendar day duration from Notice to Proceed (NTP) with a total estimated cost to be between $1M and $5M for the work to be performed in accordance with the scope of work.
Responses to this sources sought shall be limited to 10 pages and shall include the following:


-Small Business status under NAICS code 236220, for example: 8(a), Hubzone, service Disabled Veteran Owned.
-Bonding Limits
-DUNS Number
-Cage Code
-Registered in System for Award Management (SAM)


The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall be submitted to the POC below, preferably via e-mail address (PDF format), no later than June 2, 2017. Responses shall be sent via e-mail to SSG Lakenia Brown at lakenia.m.brown.mil@mail.mil. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date.
