The Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Durham, NC, requires a contractor experienced in the renovation and construction of medical facilities to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and qualified supervision necessary to complete the project, Construct New Specialty Care Building 42". The project consists of removing existing Building 16 and replacing it with a new 2-story, steel framed structure, 23,192 sqft facility. Also included is renovating a portion the ENT department in Building 1 on Level 1 to create a connector into the new building.
This is a Presolicitation Notice Only. This opportunity is available to ALL contractors as this is a FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION requirement. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the actual solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement.
The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or about June 5, 2017 with a tentative pre-bid/site visit on June 13, 2017 and with a bid opening approximately 30 days after the issuance of the solicitation. THESE ARE ONLY TENTATIVE DATES. THE SOLICITATION WILL HAVE SPECIFIC DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATIONS FOR THE BID OPENING AND SITE VISIT. The magnitude of construction per VAAR Part 836 is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Construction, with a maximum small business size standard of $36.5 Million.
