The 130th Airlift Wing is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single firm fixed- price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to perform and complete installation of an above-ground fuel tank at the 130th Airlift Wing, Charleston, West Virginia.  The purpose is provide a new 50,000 gallon aboveground storage tank (AST) as a replacement for the existing underground storage tanks. The new storage will be a shop fabricated UL 142 double wall steel tank with integral secondary containment. The tank will be equipped with a full length access walkway and stairs. Instrumentation will include a manual clock gauge, electronic ATG, level alarms (high, high-high and low), and an interstitial monitor probe for leak detection within the secondary tank. The tank will be protected from overfilling by a hydraulically actuated valve with float control. Piping to connect to the existing system will be stainless steel to match existing construction. A new tank mounted vertical turbine pump will be provided for issue to refuelers at 600 GPM. The pump will be protected by a flow switch to prevent deadheading or running dry. Existing fillstand selector switches and associated PLC logic will be modified to reflect the addition of the new tank and pump. The work includes providing the tank foundation, site grading and drainage, and incidental related work.  See attached Statement of Work (SOW) and drawings.
