Constant Current Regulators - RFI
The purpose of this amendment is to request additional information. Please see below requests:
1.If the CCR has a commercial part number, please provide it.
2.Please provide information on the CCR's volume and weight.
3.If the CCR uses powerline communications, please describe any communication protocol and whether it is open source or proprietary.
4.Please describe salient characteristics and notional interfaces of the commercial CCR.
5.Please describe whether the CCR can operate in an unsheltered or sheltered environment.
6.Is there any internal redundancy within the CCR?
7.Is there any existing reliability field data at either the fixture or the system level? If so, what environment was the equipment used in and what duty cycle was the equipment used?
8.What parts in the equipment are able to be replaced in the field by maintainers?
9.How many of these units have been fielded to date? Please describe the location/environment where installed if available.
10.What QA processes do you have in place? Do you incorporate Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) in your production screening?
11.Is there firmware in the CCR? If so, how is it installed and how is configuration management applied?
12.Please describe if operator and maintainer training is available for the CCR.
13.How are obsolescence issues handled on the CCR?
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, an Invitation for Bids, a solicitation, or an indication that the PMA251 Program Office or NAVAIR will contract for the items contained in the RFI. NAVAIR will not pay respondents for any information generated for or provided in response to this RFI. The Government will not reimburse the respondent for any costs associated with the information submitted in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside of the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
