Conference Managment System
The organization is currently seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a replacement for their current conference management software, Conference Plus. The anticipated timeframe to begin implementation for this system is December, 2011, with completion no later than April 1, 2012. Your company has been selected as a prospective vendor because you offer a product that may fit the organization's needs.
The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is a nonprofit membership organization of scientists and physicians who study the brain and nervous system. Since its inception in 1969, the Society has grown from 500 members to over 41,000. Today, SfN is the world's largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to advancing understanding of the brain and nervous system.
The Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting is the premier venue for neuroscientists from around the world to debut cutting-edge research. Since 1971, the meeting has offered attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest breakthroughs and network with colleagues at top destinations throughout North America.
The annual meeting is a city-wide, multiple-venue convention held in the Fall each year (typically November). The meeting hosts approximately 31,000 attendeesi well over 1000 sessions, meetings, and eventsi and involves approximately80 SfN staffers.
SfN currently works with Convention Data Services (CDS) for conference registration and Oasis/Coe-Truman for their abstract management and online scheduler, and Expocad to manage their exhibition products.
