DESCRIPTION

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst New Jersey is seeking sources to fulfill a proposed acquisition requirement for a Compressor, Air, 02N2 Concentrator. The O2N2 Concentrator provides the Concentrator Test Set with a clean, dry, oil-free, regulated air source that is capable of maintaining a cyclical air flow of 3.7 lbs/min (50 SCFM) minimum and 10 lbs/min (135 SCFM) maximum at a pressure range of 55 to 90 PSIG. The compressor is a skid mounted, fully-enclosed oil-free system, which includes a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), feed air compressor, air dryer membrane, heat exchanger and volume tank. This Concentrator Test Set SE is required to perform Organizational Level (O-Level) and Intermediate Level (I-Level) Maintenance Testing of the onboard O2N2 system which provides oxygen and nitrogen for crew breathing and aircraft system nitrogen requirements.

The compressor is an oil-filled rotary screw air compressor with an enclosure designed to protect it from the elements for operation in temperatures from -25 degrees F to 120 degrees F. It is able to sustain stowage temperatures from -40 degrees F to 140 degrees F. A dryer/filter assembly is an integral component of the compressor capable of conditioning the air to meet FED STD BB-A-1034B, GR. B AIR. An electrical cable will be included that will extend from the compressor controls to a receptacle on the RR04 Mobile Maintenance Facility (MMF) to a receptacle on the RRD4 Mobile Maintenance Facility (MMF) Van, to allow remote control and an emergency off switch of the compressor from the inside of the MMF. The main air outlet includes a 0-90 PSIG pressure regulator with a 180 PSIG relief valve, an oil indicator for identification of the presence of oil in the system and a 1-inch hose to connect the compressor to the MMF. One receiver tank is provided with a 240 gallon, 200 PSIG WP capacity. A heatless desiccant dryer with a high efficiency oil removal filtration pre-filter that provides a maximum remaining aerosol content of 0.01 PPM is equipped with a power cable assembly that attaches the compressor to a power receptacle in the RR04 MMF. All components of the compressor are mounted on a skid with forklift provisions and has through holes at each corner for bolting to the floor of the MMF during transport.
