Comprehensive Web Redesign Audit and Web Marketing Services
Northern Kentucky University is seeking proposals for assistance regarding the redesign of its web site at www.nku.edu. The redesign project is underway and the current status will be explained in more detail in later sections. The project originated, in part, due to a recent survey commissioned by NKU and completed by Belcan Partners. The survey concluded that university sponsored web pages are difficult to navigate and lack a common organizational look and feel. Additionally, most university web pages are currently not compliant with the American Disability Act (ADA). ADA compliancy has become an increasingly important focus for public institutions and particularly with higher education institutions. Finally, the need for a content management system to enable easier maintenance of content was identified.
At this point in our project, we believe obtaining the expertise of a firm specializing in higher education web marketing could accelerate our redesign project efforts. External guidance could also benefit the project ensuring that we lay the foundation such that we implement a new website meeting the objectives identified at the onset of the project and set the stage for future enhancements to our web presence.
