Comprehensive Plan/Unified Development Code Update

The Comprehensive Plan update is essentially preparing a new Comprehensive Plan document. Staff envisions this document relying heavily on visualization and graphics in order to relay key concepts. The Comprehensive Plan must address what has been called the “triple bottom line”: equity; environment; and economy. It is also expected that transportation networks and alternatives will be addressed in the plan and code. The Unified Development Code update is anticipated to implement many of the concepts provided in the Comprehensive Plan and to review current codes for appropriateness.
