Comprehensive Downtown Parking Study & Strategic Plan

The City is currently pursuing redevelopment and economic development opportunities in several areas of the City, and there is a potential that redevelopment could result in the intensification of uses and parking in the downtown area. Over time, as the City business community continues to grow and change, this growth could exert pressure on a limited parking supply in the downtown areas.
Presently, many businesses, new and old, face challenges due to actual and perceived difficulties with parking availability. In some areas, the parking issue has expanded beyond the business and commercial areas and has spilled over into some residential neighborhoods. A comprehensive parking study and strategic plan would be a tool to assist the City Council and staff with its redevelopment and economic development endeavors while improving and preserving the quality of life in surrounding residential neighborhoods.
The City of Temple City is soliciting proposals from consultants having professional experience in completing a comprehensive parking study and strategic plan.
