PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA, will receive bids from pre-qualified general contractors for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for the completion of: CITY OF BRENTWOOD CIVIC CENTER BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA 1. The bid documents, which will be available on July 21, 2009, may be obtained at bidder's expense from Brentwood Reprographics, 3361 Walnut Blvd., Suite 130, Brentwood, CA 94513 Phone: (925) 516-3344, Fax: (925) 516-3345, email: [email protected] or at plan rooms. Plan rooms at which the bid documents are available are listed on the City's website: www.ci.brentwood.ca.us. 2. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 P.M. local time (P.D.T.), Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at the CITY OF BRENTWOOD, City Administration, 708 Third Street, Brentwood, CA 94513. Proposals received after 2:00 P.M. will not be considered responsive and will be returned to bidder unopened. The City reserves the right to change the bid date upon written notice to plan holders. 3. All pre-qualified general building contractors and interested subcontractors must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk which will convene at the City of Brentwood Community Center (jobsite) at 740 Third Street, Brentwood, CA at 10:00 A.M. local time (P.D.T.) on July 21, 2009, City of Brentwood. 4. Note: A) The City Council has approved a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") for the Civic Center Project. The Contractor and all subcontractors of any tier will be required to sign and be bound by the PLA. B) The Project is a public work, subject to prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and other Labor Code requirements. C) The Contractor may substitute securities in lieu of retention as provided in Public Contract Code Section 22300. 5.
