Community Investment Initiative Request for Proposal
In light of increasingly strained budgets for community and economic development organizations, the grant is designed to strengthen the effectiveness of such organizations and their staff by supporting opportunities such as:
Continuing education
Networking opportunities
Trade missions and conventions
Specialized marketing materials
Strategic Planning
Neighborhood/housing revitalization
Protecting the environment
Workforce development programs
Financial literacy courses
The above list is comprised of examples of potential REALTOR Community Investment
Initiative use. They only represent a small sample of possible ideas. Qualifying organizations will have a Community Development or Economic Development focus. Examples of such organizations are, but not limited to, Local Economic Development Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, and Community Development Corporations. Past recipients are the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Boone County Neighborhood Housing Services, Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative,
and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
