The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates awarding contract for the continued research, development, production, and sustainment of Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS), Cockpit Management System (CMS), and Avionics Management System (AMS) used on Army Special Operations Aviation (ARSOA) aircraft as well in support of the UK FMS aircraft. The intended source for this procurement is Collins Aerospace Inc., 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52498-0505. The intended award will result in a contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Cost Reimbursable CLINs on a term or completion basis as appropriate. The contract will have one (1) five year ordering period. The associated NAICS code is 334511. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of the FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received before the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
