Commissioning and Installation of Works of Art on the Hunters Point Shipyard
The scope of services for this contract includes initiating the commissioning and installation
of works of art and development of a maintenance plan. This phase of art installation
includes:
Identity element one or more significant sculptural elements to help define the
character of the Shipyard development
Installation of childrens tiles in pocket parks, tot lots and other areas
Interpretive/wayfinding and other signs
Other signature elements to underscore the theme of the Shipyard
The project is funded with approximately $2 million in grant funds from the US Department
of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA). The selected Consulting
will be required to work with the Hunters Point Shipyard Citizens Advisory Committee
(CAC) and a selection panel to review submissions and award between one - twenty
commissions for works on the Shipyard.
