Commercial Carpet, Material and Installation

In renovated areas, the owner will remove and dispose of the existing floor materials. It will remain the
responsibility of the contractor to provide any preparation necessary of the exposed flooring for proper
adhesion of new material.
In areas where the occupying department personnel will not relocate but will remain, it will be the
responsibility of the contractor to remove the existing carpet materials, dispose in the C&D dumpster
provided on site by the owner, and provide any preparation necessary of the exposed flooring for proper
installation of new material. Where these areas are County offices which are open for public access, it may
be necessary to schedule demolition and installation during weekend hours.
