Combustion Gas Test Kit
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is conducting a market survey of potential sources who may be interested in the development of combustion gas test kits for use in diesel engine jacket water on marine diesel engine vessels. The kit should be able to detect combustion gas leakby into the jacket water system. There should be minimal interference in test performance based on the current color of the jacket water sample. The kit should be relatively simple and fit for field use on board naval vessels. This product should be able to detect combustion gases from the following fuels: F-76 (MIL-DTL-16884), and JP-5 (MIL-DTL-5624). The chemical compounds used in this kit shall not contain known or suspected carcinogens, ozone depleting substances, hazardous air pollutants, volatile organic compounds, or total toxic organic (TTO) compounds as specified in 40 CFR.

At no cost to the government, the government may request further clarification of a contractor's submission.
There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by industry responses to this RFI.
