Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Chilton's Auto Repair
REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: This requirement is for access to a database that provides information on repairing over 2,600 latest to vintage vehicle makes and models with comprehensive automotive expertise.
i. The car repair database must be directed toward DIY repair.
ii. The database needs to have a discovery layer, the ability to sort by source types and publication date, subject thesaurus, and viewed in HTML or PDF.
iii. Search functionality should include keyword, Boolean/phrase, options to limit by keyword or phrase, capability to cite, export, and Permalink functionality sustainable URL to return to original article.
iv. Information must include information in full text, diagrams, specification tables, troubleshooting guides, photos, illustrations, multimedia (videos and animation), and ASE test prep.
v. Customer convenience services should include online help, the option to save, print, and email information, access and ability to save search histories and results, and step-by-step service and repair procedures.
vi. Access to information should be seamless, minimal response time between query initiation and query results, and search results.
vii. Database must be able to provide password embedded URL's for access through Library OPACS.
viii. Database also must be able to interface with the Air Force Portal, Army Knowledge Online (AKO), Marine Corps, Military OneSource, and Navy Digital Library (NDL).
