Collection-Preservation-Digitization of quote mark At Risk Media quote mark
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to support the MRMC-NMHM At-Risk Media Modernization & Preservation Project, as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.
The MRMC-NMHM includes approximately 1100 16-mm films on 7 quote mark reels, 350 films on 12 quote mark reels, and 550 films on 15 quote mark reels, for an approximate total of 1,510,000 linear feet. Fewer than 50 reels date before 1930, with the bulk ranging from 1940-1960. Approximately 400 films do not contain a date on containers. Nearly 80% of the collection has been rehoused in archival quality containers and these films have also been stored in a temperature-controlled facility. The five films that have been digitized from the collection (dating from 1920-1946) have not required significant repair.
