Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors or teams of contractors to conduct market research for the Super-Efficient Dryers Program. In order to accelerate market adoption of super-efficient dryers, or heat pump dryers, NEEA will collaborate with manufacturers on product development and execute strategies to overcome market barriers. NEEA will also work to establish improved federal test protocols and to enact more stringent federal efficiency standards (requiring heat pump technology) for residential clothes dryers.
NEEA seeks a contractor to provide market research to better characterize known barriers and opportunities and to identify any unknown market influences related to heat pump clothes dryers. This information will enable NEEA to deliver more effective market strategies to accelerate the adoption of this energy-efficient technology.
Who Should Apply:
Individual contractors or teams of contractors with relevant and proven experience such as sample design, data collection design and development, mixed method research design, analysis of consumer and other market actor data, and the development of publication-quality reports and presentations are strongly encouraged to submit a proposal.
NEEA encourages firms that believe they have the capabilities and qualifications to conduct the relevant scope described in this solicitation to submit an "intent to respond" according to the instructions described in the accompanying request for proposals (RFP). NEEA strongly encourages bidders to review the accompanying solicitation carefully.
NEEA will only provide answers to questions asked to bidders who provide an "intent to respond."
Intent to respond is due August 10, 2015. The deadline for submitting written proposals is September 11, 2015.
