Coalition Pharmacy
"This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued by the University to obtain proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible firms to provide and administer the carve-out prescription drug benefit for its ""Know Your Rx"" (KYRx) Pharmacy Coalition (hereafter referred to as Coalition) effective with the plan year beginning January 1, 2015.
The University is issuing this RFP with the intention of awarding a contract to a prinicipal pharmacy benefit management company (PBM). The contract will not be awarded to a broker.
The successful PBM will be required to provide and administer the prescription benefit for approximately 95,000 Coalition health plan participants, which includes: (1) Eligible active employees and covered dependents; (2) Eligible pre-65 retirees and covered dependents; (3) Eligible Medicare-receiving retirees and covered dependents; (4) Other persons who are eligible under the Employer's Administrative Regulations; (5) Employees covered under the Employer's Worker's Compensation Program (if applicable); and, (6) Students covered under a student health plan (if applicable). "
