Coal Laboratory Redevelopment - Chemical Materials Engineering Building
This project is to be undertaken utilizing waste reduction strategies as detailed in the Specification Book -Supplementary Instructions to Bidders Division 00 22 15. All demolition plus waste removal and activities associated with demolition and waste removal are addressed in the Specification Book -Division 01 35 31 LEED Special Project procedures; Division 01 45 16.19 Waste Management During Construction; and Division 01 45 16.23 Indoor Air Quality Management During Construction. Staging and storage area for waste bins and removed materials are limited to the area north of the Chemical Materials Engineering Building in the proximity of the northwest corner of the building on the landscaped area between the buildings north face and the south edge of the access road to the buildings loading dock. This heavily programmed research building requires access to be maintained around the clock for specialized deliveries; thus scheduling of waste removal and demolition materials requires the contractor to manage a schedule of all deliveries / removals to the project site.
