The Department of Human Services' Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to procure the services of an entity to provide on-going consultative, project management, technical assistance and clinical services for projects and programs that impact the State-Operated Developmental Center (SODC) service delivery system. The Division is responsible for oversight and management of services to approximately 2,400 individuals served in nine SODCs throughout Illinois.
The service delivery system for people with developmental disabilities is evolving in Illinois, as it has evolved in other states. The Division is seeking assistance from entities that have proven successful in providing project management, technical assistance, and clinical services to other states as they have addressed the challenges of managing an SODC system in transition.
The Divisions strategic objectives include increasing access to quality services in home and community-based settings while improving the overall quality of care throughout the system. The entity selected through this RFP process will support Division staff at all levels in the continued implementation of this strategic objective as individuals transition to home and community-based settings. Key to this process will be the contractors ability to act quickly, effectively, and flexibly in responding to specific requests for project management, technical assistance and clinical services made by the Division.
