Invitation to Submit Proposals for Housing Redevelopment
The City of Rocky Mount is seeking proposals for interested housing developers to implement affordable housing redevelopment within the Beal Street area of the City of Rocky Mount. The City of Rocky Mount City Council approved a redevelopment plan for the 12 block area bounded by North Harris Street, West Thomas Street, Grace Street, and Sunset Avenue. The plan calls for the City to acquire property, clear the lots and redevelop the lots for residential occupancy in new homes and apartments. To date, the City has acquired parcels that at this time are ready for redevelopment.
All interested developers should review the request for proposals. All questions pertaining to this should be forwarded to Pauline High at pauline.high@rockymountnc.gov and or directly to Ken Graves, Planning Director at ken.graves@rockymountnc.gov.
Proposals must be received no later than September 14, 2012. Four hard copies with all attachments, including signature pages and electronic files are required. Proposals should be delivered to Pauline High, Interim Community Development Administrator, P.O Box 1180, 331 S. Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. Proposals may be hand delivered to City of Rocky Mount, Community Development Division, 331. S. Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27802-1180. Postmarked copies received after September 14, 2012 will not be considered.
