The City currently follows the California Vehicle Code (CVC) and the California Manual Uniform of Traffic Control Devices (CMUTCD) standards and guidelines for local traffic and safety concerns. The City is proposing create its own local Citywide Traffic Calming Study and Master Plan which will allow more flexibility in applying standards to better meet the city's needs where legally allowed and still be in compliance with the CVC and CMUTCD as appropriate.
The City is soliciting proposals from consultants having professional experience in completing the Citywide Traffic Calming Study and Master Plan.
