City Green Pervious Parking Lot
The "City Hall Green Pervious Parking Lot" is considered a replacement, rehabilitation, or reconstruction in-kind on the same site. Due to frequency and type of use, pervious/porous pavement shall be installed in the parking areas/lanes, with heavy-duty asphalt or standard concrete pavement construction in the drive aisles. This will help control water levels going into the existing storm water systems.
The work plan for the NYS DEC grant (Appendix C) has recommended a multi-phased project consisting of demolition/prep work for half of the parking lot with reconstruction of the driving aisles/lanes, followed by the reconstruction of the parking area/lanes. The tentative sequence will be the North half of the Parking Lot follows by the South half; the consultant is to recommend an approach to the project scheduling that shall enable maximum utilization of the lot during construction.
