Chicago Public Schools officials today issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Student Mentorship and Advocacy Services.

The Board seeks innovative and impactive student mentorship and advocacy strategies that fully
engage the student during school and/or outside of school. Proposers strategies for mentorship
and advocacy may vary, and the Board welcomes each innovative and established approach.
Proposers will be expected to provide mentors or mentorship strategies that engage in daily
contact with the student and act as a liaison between the student and the school, community, and
juvenile justice system, as needed. Proposers are welcome to provide mentorship strategies that
require mentors to visit the students homes to assist in any factors that may be contributing to
low engagement and lack of success in their education including, but not limited to, referrals to
agencies specializing in counseling services.
