Chemically Enhanced Primary Treatment

This project involves construction of facilities for chemical addition to wet weather flows to enhance primary clarification. Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Mobilize and demobilize for the work; 2. Miscellaneous piping between the headworks, wet weather screening facility (WWSF), new chemical storage and receiving, and chemical addition points; 3. Construction of a new ferric chloride and polymer storage, tanks, containment, receiving, pumping, distribution, flow metering, leak detection, injection and sparging facilities, and performance monitoring; 4. Associated HVA, compressor, and plumbing improvements; 5. In addition to Contractor functional testing, the City shall be provided an Acceptance Demonstration Testing Period during wet weather season; 6. Work area cleanup.
